Goodbye and Hello

GOODBYE -

Yesterday was a tough day for me saying goodbye to my wonderful mom and sister. I am so blessed to have such a wonderfully loving and supportive family, even with the distance, that they'd both take a timeout from their own lives to come out here to help us and ensure a smooth transition from a family of 3 to 4. That they did with all their help leaving us with a house of flowers, clean clothes, empty laundry bins, clean dishes, clean floors, half of thank you notes written, kids feeling like a million bucks and even relatively well-rested. We thank you, we love you and sincerely MISS YOU BOTH DEARLY! Thank you, thank you for loving us and please know how much gratitude we feel towards you both.

HELLO -

Hello to real life!!!! Night one without the extra arms and wouldn't you know it Kellan comes down with a fever and is throwing up all over his crib and Makenna is starting to surge a bit with her appetite...lots of temperatures were taken, tylenol given, cuddles adorned and FINALLY a little shut eye for all. This is going to be hilarious!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!

Today would have been my grandpa's 100th birthday.

We love and miss you everyday!

With the help of BB, Lindsay and daddy we have been able to entertain Kellan so much and shower him with so much attention that he continues to be doing really well with the transition from only child to big brother...only hitch is that he may be getting used to being catered too and is often asking in sign language for "MORE"..... of just about everything - ha :)

Aunt Lindsay Arrives To SF on Day 10 of Makenna's Life

Aunt Lindsay is THE BEST for making the long trek to SF to meet Makenna and spend QT with Kellan. As you can see Makenna was obviously very comfortable with Lindsay from the start....what can I say she's clearly got the touch after lots of practice with her own 3 DARLING kids.
