Happy First Halloween In The YELLOW HOUSE

Our first Halloween was a HIT in the yellow house.  We actually got tons of trick or treaters and had a blast being out and about on a festive fun costume packed suburban street/neighborhood!

Kellan wasn't into this or anything this year...hilarious...it all clicked this year how much fun it is to get so much loot!  He was clearly sprinting ahead the whole time to keep up with the gaggle of girls a few houses ahead....lady killer!!

Have I bragged enough about my sisters natural mothering abilities?  She is literally AMAZING with children and generously came over and watched all 5 kiddos the other day while Dan was out of town. Here they are all 5 Wood grandkids in their glory cozy on the couch with Miss Mary Poppins!

Stick A Fork In Me

As the saying goes....stick a fork in ME!

Makenna's new move at the dinner table is to stick forks into her belly repeatedly...otherwise known as stabbing yourself...is my cooking that bad these days or is my company that painful?! THAD :)

Drum Roll Please....

The BIG present for moving into The Yellow House was a.....and yes side note most think i'm insane for this one -

The back story is that when we brought Kellan through the house earlier before we owned it there was a drum set from the previous owners in the basement and he played it the entire time and we had to leave with him kicking and screaming from the damn thing....from that point on he associated The Yellow House with the cool drum set so i thought it was the least i could do for the lil guy after rocking his entire little toddler world with a cross country move.

 We're back in the Midwest indeed as the doorbell started ringing immediately with fresh plates of brownies, cookies, etc. from the neighbors.  What a warm welcome that definitely reassured us that we made the right decision for our family.

 And here she is, in all her glory, THE YELLOW HOUSE.
