BUSY BUSY Couple Of Weeks

It's been BUSY BUSY since we've made our BIG move to Winnetka.

Kellan and Makenna started their new school - All Things Bright And Beautiful, which they both adore!

Kellan ran right in the first day without any reservation and has never looked back.  I have been amazed and so proud of his adaptability - GO KELLAN!

The name of his classroom this year is - SPARROWS

Makenna is in the Mommy & Me class at the same school, once a week, and LOVES every minute of it.  I swear she's already jealous and wishing she was able to go 3 times a week and get dropped off too!
 Beautiful blue eyed girl!
Here we go - off to our first day of school - all 3 of us!
We've been keeping clean and increasingly aware of our surroundings.  "Look mommy...a half moon-a!"

Fun At BB & Papa's House

MAJOR MILESTONE - Kellan took a nap in a bed for the first time and we have never looked back.  We told him his crib was left in SF!!
As you can see, he wasn't too keen on the idea at first and ransacked the room before falling exhausted onto the bed into a deep sleep.....check out the video below...more surprises where this came from...HILARIOUS day!
Kids favorite drawer at BB's house - the baking drawer!

Next Stop BB & Papa's House

Next stop was BB & Papa's house until our truck arrives to the Yellow House with all our things.
"The country" AKA "the suburbs" seem to be appealing to Makenna as she dug right in by picking up gardening!
Snuggling with Papa on the couch
And THANK GOD cleaning!!!!  The White Knight and Rosalita should be proud!

Bye Bye 2160 Steiner

Bye Bye 2160 Steiner....Bye Bye San Francisco....Our bags are packed and we're ready to go!

There Was One Last Trip To KEEP TAHOE BLUE

And a darn special one because we were with Grammy and Pap Pap on the first leg of their epic cross country roadtrip journey.

Like a baptism for me - one last final dip in the crystal clear blue waters of Lake Tahoe!
The photo doesn't lie...i was the only one in the water that windy but warm final day in mountain paradise.
of course Kellan longingly gazing at his beloved GONDOLA or as grammy calls it Gonzola
For those of you that have made the pilgramage before you will recognize this scene...you turn the corner after a long drive from SF and THIS is your first glimpse of Lake Tahoe Blue! We've made it....arrived with only one throw up casualty (not naming names KELLAN)

Launching up the mountain in the gondola
Photo OPP at the middle viewing observation deck.... interestingly this is the first time we've ever dared to stop here as we're more accustom to high winds and snow in the middle of winter
Sadly Dan was not able to join us on our mountain adventure that day because of....urg...work. what a dedicated guy...i'm pretty sure i would have found a way to slip out at least for a quick trip up the mountain.
Family photo at the water's edge
Deep thoughts and sudden reservations...is this really a smart move to leave this place? this natural, rejuvenating, good for the soul fresh air, natural wonder?!
Take us up to Room 3665 please
Brave little Kenna dipped her toes in the water with the very friendly and hungry, i might add, duckies.
What a view!!! I vow to take you back when you can remember and further experience this beautiful place.
Mommy and Kellan got some rare one on one time, thanks to Grammy and Pap Pap watching Mak.  We went on a little hike on the top of the mountain and it was GLORIOUS!  I look forward to many more of these together with you, my favorite little buddy!
We won't mention the fact that you did get a little tired after awhile and i had to bait you with M&M's to finish!
 Ahhh.......Keep Tahoe BLUE!!!
Kids enjoying and appreciating the view
All SMILES!!! THANK YOU GRAMMY & PAP PAP - WE LOVE YOU!!!
CHEERS TO TAHOE!

Catching Up...

It's time to play a little catchup over the past month when i have been absent due to good reason, lots of changes, moves, adjustments, etc.  I was even thinking of shutting the blog down until i received enough feedback to keep it going....Here's my attempt at a quick recap.
