Kellan's First Ever Ski Day

Here were are at Heavenly in South Lake Tahoe getting PUMPED to take Kellan up the mountain for his first day of skiing! Look at the size of his skis - so cute!

Boots on, skis on..uhh ohh...first road block...HE HATES THE BOOTS! Too heavy to pick up his feet

But we keep pushing along and giving it the old college try

OUTTA HERE!!! It's cold, the wind is whipping, i can't move my feet, i'm scared...GET ME Back to gondola please!!!!

And fresh warm powdered donuts to celebrate my triumph...whether i liked it or not, my first ski trip was when i was 2!

What Is This White Stuff?

Our kiddos not being farmiliar with snow are NOT huge fans!! They were sport's and played out in the cold for awhile while Cassie & Chris watched them and made their first snowman!!

Tahoe With Taylor's

We went to Tahoe with the Taylor's last weekend. Was a BLAST despite being booted from the mountain due to high winds. What's a girl to do? Spearhead creativity of a great backup outdoor adventure...and snowmobiling it was!

A 2 hour tour in the back country - was beautiful, serene, thrilling and so much FUN!

Easter Egg Dying Party

2 year olds LOVE a good easter egg dying party. They were so cute and into this little activity! Good thing we were outdoors because before we knew it all the bowls of dyes were combined into brown water with lots of spillage - mad scientists at work! And Kellan of course mistook the green dye pill for an m&m and chowed down on it which promply was followed by a toothy smile of green sludge pouring out of his mouth. The real bummer of the scenario is that i didn't have a chance to catch that moment on film - sorry :(

Lil Kenna didn't exactly partake in the egg dying but she did of course still find ways to have fun with the big kids and make a mess of her own feeding herself yogurt and avocado.

Woody Wood Turns 70

It's hard to believe my dad is 70 years old! Youngest 70 you've ever seen! To celebrate this milestone my mom threw my dad a cocktail party at the house. Poochie Prints made the AMAZING invite highlighting my dad's iconic glasses and love of bowties. Here was the icon she created:

Turns out being overtired, sick and having freezing weather doesn't = a successful outing - OUCH!

Kinda funny as the behavior continued when on a bike ride meant to be a pick me up for Uncle Kenny. At least it will be sure to solicit a LAUGH!!!! Lil one was miserable on his rides that day and it didn't help that he had to wear his hated helmet too! Sorry Kellan but those were funny funny tears!

JMP Easter Party - 2012

The kids were dressed in their Easter best for daddy's family Easter party at work today. Kellan LOVES these parties for the treats, sweets, egg hunts and........

Farm animals in the baby animal petting zoo. Today was a BIG DAY when Kellan had enough confidence and bravery to hold his first little bunny rabbit. It was so cute and he kept following the goats around, stopping looking into their eyes and saying "Hi Goat!"

Today was the first time Makenna could really get into the animals too which was really fun. She squealed with joy when petting the 6 week old baby floppy eared bunnies and intently watched the little chicks scamper around their little pen. Watch out Kenna...next year when you can go i the cage it will blow your mind!!

Poor Poor Kellan

Poor Kellan has been MISERABLE over the past week with a double ear infection accompanied by high high fevers, no appetite, antibiotics. To say it's actually been a long week for all of us is an understatement.....

It even drove Makenna to cap off the week with a beer and to be honest, we couldn't blame her...we needed one or 12 too!

But nothing is going to bring our little sunshine girl down for long as she basked in the glow of the afternoon sunshine at Alta Plaza Park

Such a sweet little pea crawling around the park LOVING being in on the action... at least a little bit!
