Makenna Rowan

We had Makenna's 6 week ped appointment today and her model measurements seem to have stuck! 23 inches (90th percentile) & 9lbs 11oz (50th percentile). Our lil princess was so brave with all her shots today - OUCH! We're so proud of her!

The Grandparent Jinx Continues

What is up with the grandparent jinx? Everything is loverly while they're here and then the second they leave sh*t hits the fan! BB left and Kellan threw up for the first time all over his crib, Grammy left, I got mastitis, Makenna had a bit of a cold and NOW Papa left and Kellan throws up all over the garage - what is this all about?! My kids protesting living away from the best grandparents anyone could ask for? Maybe...and if that's the case, i suppose it's understandable because i hate living so far from them too!

We had to take Kellan's temp to make sure he wasn't running a fever and then he thought it was a good idea to check the chocolate brioches temp too - luckily they were both in the clear :)

Papa's In Town To Meet Makenna

Dad/Papa was the sweetest ever to come all the way to SF to meet Makenna and hang with us for a few days. We had so much fun and the kids of course LOVE Papa!!!

Lil guy was a little out of it after a long weekend of playing and entertaining that he passed out hard behind his too cool for school shades out on a run with daddy today.

Sausalito Kayak Beach

It was a gorgeous summer day so we headed to the beach in Sausalito today. Kellan walked straight into the freezing water tripped and face planted into the sea and sand.....hate to laugh at his expense but it was truly hilarious!! Luckily it was a quick recovery, followed by hours of fun in the sun, sand and surf. He is going to LOVE Cape Cod next week!

Kellan had to walk up and down the marina and say goodbye to EVERY SINGLE BOAT-A before we were aloud to leave - hilarious!

Sharing

Kellan is so good at sharing he even shares his croissant with Elmo! He's also tried to feed baby Kenna, as he calls her, a raisin...this is going to get interesting once she's chomping hummus, bacon & lasagna at week 7:)

Tummy Time Or Is It A Nap?!

BB gave Makenna the softest most delicious feeling mat for tummy time for Makenna and it turns out it's so comfortable that it has turned into nap mat :)

Toddlerhood

Kellan is in the throws of toddlerhood with all sorts of hilarious obsessions....we'll name a few other than Beama's (grinding his own coffee beans)and Booma (angry birds on ipad or iphone) which you already know about:

Summer Has Arrived!

And you know what that means the opening of the OCC (Osher Country Club) so we were off for a day full of sun, fun and sprinkler-action! The boys were in heaven running around together getting soaked:)

Makenna Is One Month Old!

Time is flying and we can't possibly wrap our heads around the fact that our littlest princess/sleeping beauty is already one month old! Unreal what an amazingly content baby she is already giving us 7 hour stretches of sleep at night (5.5 from the moment she came home from the hospital) and continuing to feed like a champ! Makenna likes her swing and loves staring out the window at the light streaming in. What an angel!

Have i told you how much Kellan loves being a sous chef in the kitchen? He is OBSESSED with helping and watching all activities in the kitchen, so much so that we had the genius idea to buy a "kitchen helper stool" that allows him to be counter height and mom's arms free to chop/create/whip, etc. As you can see here, both kiddos loved the concept!!! What sweet children whose bond melted all of our hearts :) WE LOVE YOU LILY-BEAN!!!!
